Billy Dib has announced that he will make his first mandatory defense of his IBF Featherweight title against Mexican, Eduardo "Canilla" Escobedo (32-3-0) on March 7, 2012 in Tasmania.

The fight will form part of an IBF World Title doubleheader with Daniel Geale defending his title against Adama in the main event.

On the fight Billy said, "This is a fight that was supposed to happen on two occasions but fell through." "I'm going to knock this guy out!"

Escobedo won an IBF title eliminator in July against Joksan Hernandez with a 2nd round knockout to earn himself a world title shot. His biggest fight came against Daniel Ponce de Leon in December 2007 for the WBO Super Bantamweight title where he lost in a 12 round decision. Apart from that Eduardo has held the WBC Silver Super Featherweight title and most recently the IBF Latino Featherweight title.

The card which also features Kali Meehan is expected to be shown on Main Event PPV.

Daniel 'The Real Deal' Geale will make the second defense of his IBF world title in Tasmania February 2012. The show is promoted by Grange Old School Boxing and the card will also feature Kali Meehan, Jamie Pittman and Steve Maxwell.

In the main event Daniel Geale (26-1-0) will face Osumanu Adama (20-2-0) of Ghana in the Australian's first mandatory defense of the IBF Middleweight title. Adama defeated Roman Karmazin in a title eliminator with a 9th round knockout in October. Adama is a former IBO world title holder and will prove to be the champions toughest opponent yet.

There has been reports by BoxRec that Billy Dib (33-1-0) will make his first mandatory defense of the IBF Featherweight title in the co-feature bout with Dib's management still weighing up their options.

The show is expected to screen live on Main Event PPV.
