Anselmo Moreno has retained his WBA Super World Bantamweight title with a 12 round unanimous decision over Australian, Vic Darchinyan (116-111, 117-110, 120-107).

Darchinyan came forward early stalking Moreno and did enough to take the opening round but Moreno with the reach advantage dominated the fight and his flashy footwork and good evasive skills made Darchinyan miss and became continually frustrated.

Darchinyan was deducted a point in round 4 for a none-boxing move but in the end it didn't matter as Moreno was too strong for the Australian.

After the fight Moreno told Showtime announcer, "I was a little nervous, but Vic was a stupid fighter." When asked about a fight with the Agbeko vs Mares winner he said, "I have always wanted to fight either of them." Darchinyan said, "I started rushing in, and couldn't land anything."
