Friday night signaled an end to the boxing career of Ryan Waters who fought for the last time at the Sharkies Leagues Club.
Waters challenged Anthony Mundine late in 2010 which ended unsuccessfully for the man from the shire who said the fight took the spark out of him after he really believed he could beat 'Choc' that night.
After a knockout loss to Lee Oti in October, Waters was able to turn it around on Friday knocking out Dion McNabney in the third round of their championship bout for the interim PABA Light Middleweight title.
McNabney was down once in round 1 and twice in round 2 before the fight ended at 1:07 of the third.
It was a fitting ending for the 33 year old who will still promote fights under his Left Hook Promotions company as well as train boxers such as Jack Brubaker.
In the main event at Cruiserweight Yoshinori Nishizawa defeated Chokchan Sithkrupon with a 5th round knockout at 0:35 after Sithkrupon was down twice in round 4.
In the opening professional fight Robert Whaley won against Ariel Omongos after he retired at the end of the second round with a shoulder injury.
